I’m looking for PV panels, charge controllers, batteries, inverters, that kind of thing. My goal is to build a portable solar generator, something like:

You can get all this stuff online, I know, but I’m new to this stuff and would love to inspect the gear, and maybe ask some questions, before I buy.
I’m also looking for highly efficient (LED) lighting components…

I have battery ones and they EAT through batteries like crazy and I don’t have enough plugs close enough to my windows. Do they make solar powered ones? Those would be ideal because then I wouldn’t have to remember to turn them one and off too. If there is such a thing where can I buy them and what’s a good price to pay?

I have some cheap solar powered lights. They each have 1 ni-cad??? battery.
Can I use higher rated batteries as long as they are AA size?
Also if I use higher rated batteries ex 1200 instead of 600….will this help my lights to be brighter for longer? thanks for the help in advance.
thanks aussie

I have a small Solar powered pathway lantern that no longer works,When I looked inside I see there are two batteries in there. Is there a way to get new batteries for these things or should I just toss it? Such a shame to toss it because it is metal and still in good condition but useless unless I could get it to work again.
